Not blogged for a while as we have been so busy with stock arriving in the shop. But on a recent buying trip to Manchester, I was handed a freebie magazine and inside was some great news that we felt we ought to share with our lovely customers....

CHAMPAGNE IS OFFICIALLY GOOD FOR YOU!!

New research has revealed that not only is a glass of champers less calorific than its non-fizzy counterpart (85 calories compared with over 100 for wine) but it is also packed with blood vessel widening plant extract and the same antioxidants found in red wine.

"We have discovered that a couple of glasses of champagne a day has a beneficial effect on the walls of blood vessels, which suggests it has the potential to reduce strokes and heart disease, " says Dr Jeremy Spencer of Reading University.

So there you have it and who are we to argue with the experts?

Spring is here - if only in clothing!

Yes, I know it's a wee while since we have blogged. Sorry - it has been busy, busy, busy & I am a social media virgin!

Here we are about to talk about Spring and it's baltic outside! Perhaps we can just use our tights a little longer with the fab new dresses that are rolling in.....?

The good news is that our lovely Spring collections are starting to arrive in store! First out of the blocks is the wonderful DESIGNERS REMIX! I am very excited about this collection for SS10 and the first delivery has proved why I should be so giddy. Drapy t's, sculptural dresses and funky knitwear. Green, blue, white, orange - so much to look at and only the 1st box!

Come in and see us throughout February as new stock set to arrive weekly. x

Our website is coming....

Over 700 photos, 300 garments, 50 cups of coffee and goodness knows how many muffins from Jakes - our website is nearing completion. Soon you will be able to shop from the comfort of your own chair (almost a close 2nd to the comfort of our own chairs and sofas in store!).

Belle & Bunty Bride

Inspired by her favourite artist, Tamara de Lempika, our lovely customer Ros Parr chose this fabulous Belle & Bunty silk dress for her big day. The dress reminded Ros of the one in the painting (left)and complete with '40s inspired hair and red lipstick to match, Ros had a fabulous day with her family and friends. Ros and her best friend/bridesmaid, Nina, relaxed at the boutique before the big event, trying out Alexa's new Lava Shell treatment. Congratulations to Ros and all the best for your future.
